Gift Received from Sokaogon Chippewa

On Monday January 15, the Trump Lake Association accepted a $2,000 gift from the Sokaogon Chippewa Community (the Mole Lake Band of Lake Superior Chippewa). This money is intended to help with lake preservation. Trump Lake Association President Barb Charlton sent a "Thank you!" to Tribe Chairman Chris McGeshick and Mike Pruel, their fish biologist.

Alert: Recent Break-In

In recent days, a break-in occurred near the southwest end of Trump Lake (toward Lake Eugene). This incident involved significant damage to the house. In addition, some property was stolen.

Also, earlier this fall, an ATV was stolen from another property on the lake.

In response to a query from TLPA President Barb Charlton, the Forest County Sheriff's Department will monitor Trump Lake properties during this winter, as part of their snowmobile patrol.

1,700 Walleye Fingerlings added to
Trump Lake on October 7, 2015
Greg Matzke, Fisheries Biologist at Wisconsin DNR for Florence and Forest Counties, recently completed a fish survey on Trump Lake. This is his summary report. The 18,000 walleye the Mole Lake Fishery stocked in early summer are doing well. The Lake Association also purchased 1,700 fingerlings from them and they were stocked on October 7, as shown above. Those were very nice fish and they gave us a price that was less than we paid in the past. Greg Matzke reports these are the largest 1st year fingerlings he has seen.
